Kodi 13.2 Upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

It appears that I'm still running Kodi 13.2 on my atv582. What's the best way to upgrade my Kodi version as some of the latest add ons are not compatible with Kodi 13.2.

Cheers,

Potus

I can't remember what I did exactly, but I used Titanium back up to remove the Kodi that came packaged with the mygica - then just installed the playstore version. There are addons to back up your addons, etc. - but I just started from scratch adding the ones I wanted in.

I think one of the newer firmwares, if you factory reset, will just install the playstore version as well.

Rather not do a firmware update unless i absolutely have to.

What addon do you recommend for backing up my kodi add ons?

If you go to XBMC's official Repo

They have a program add on called XBMC Backup

Once you install a newer version of KODI, which latest one is KODI 16.1

They have renamed this Program add on to BACKUP.

You will have to use the BACKUP feature on XBMC 13.2, and then RESTORE Feature on Jarvis 16.1
