ATV582 Ethernet vs WIFI Issues

Hi all,

recently purchased this unit and generally its great, however, i noticed yesterday that when I connect it on ethernet I cannot use a whole bunch of apps, including bbc iplayer, PlayStore - which tells me "check your connection and try again". Is this a config issue that easily fixable ? ( tried disabling wifi with ethernet on, tried leaving both on ). Any ideas ?

Are you using a static or DHCP connection?

I have got the exact same problem i am on DHCP and apps like netflicks will only work on a wireless network.

Do you have Wifi and Ethernet turned on at the same time? Even if your not connected to Wifi, this might be the issue
