Works good for me.

You will have to turn "Remote Control ON" Under the Adavanced Settings menu though.

thnx, will try it. My partner loves the Mygica but hates the remote, especially when using the netflix and hulu apps

ON/OFF Feature only works through IR sensor.

So to answer your question, no remote app will allow you to do this.
