Clear the top bar?

So I've got some apps installed, others updated, and all of that info is in the form of those little icons at the top of the screen (android kitkat). Now on a mobile phone or tablet I can clear it. But how do I do that here?

You will need an air mouse or corded mouse to clear it. Just like your phone, you will need to swipe down (while holding the left mouse button if using a standard mouse) to get it to drop down. Then you will be able to clear it. Unfortunately I do not think it can be cleared using the included remote.
