help with latest upgrade

Ok I have downloaded the new 4.2 2015.02.09 firmware for my atv1200. the file is in .img format. I placed on a formatted sd card. I then go to upgrade and the unit reboots but no installation occurs. When i choose local update it finds the file on th sd card no problem but will not update. What am i doing wrong?

I have since reinstalled 4.2.2 2014 fw. then udgraded with new fw and worked like a charm.

I am also having trouble updating my ATV1200 to the latest firmware. I have downloaded the zip file several times, load the .img on to the ROOT of an SD card, but the Local Update app doesn't show the file... Any suggestions?

Is it possible to extract the contents of the .IMG file, load those on to the SD card and boot in to recovery mode in order to install this update?

Also for reference - I am using the update that supports the K20 remote
