ATV520 came without google play...

Hello,

I got a ATV520 from aliexpress and when I hooked it up I couldn't find google play... also the screen looks just like a plain android tablet screen, I guess this means it's not going through the MyGica launcher? I can't seem to find the launcher either...

I also tried to upgrade to the latest firmware provided here through USB key but they don't appear on the screen when I choose "local update"...

Here are the download files for just the .IMG Files with them both renamed. It seems there has been confusion as to how to rename these files, since there is a specific way to rename .ZIP files.

The same upload instructions apply, however you don't need to rename them, just download them and move them to an External SD or USB Device, and plug them into your Mygica Android box.

From experience, we have found an External SD Card is the best device to use for upgrading.

Download Both SPI and Firmware.

They still don't show up... I talked to the Geniatech support and apparently my unit came upgrade to Android 4.2, and will send me the launcher for 4.2... I still have no idea why the unit came so barebone'd...

Oh ok

These files wont work for 4.2, they are meant for 4.1, probably the reason why they dont show up
