USB HDD issues

I hooked up a USB HDD and a message popped up when I plugged it in and unplugged it, but I couldn't see it when I looked at 'Storage' in the Settings menu. There was the area to click in order to mount a USB HDD, but it wouldn't do anything. I think it is formatted to NTFS, what should it be formatted to?

It would be best to have it formatted to FAT32

You can format it using your computer, depending on the size of the hard drive, will determine how long it will take to format it.

Just be patient while formatting it to FAT 32.

Thanks, FAT32 couldn't handle my >4GB files so I tried exFAT (formatted using a mac) and it worked! That was a nice surprise.
