atv 380 won't boot

the device has been working flawlessly since December 2014, just this week it froze. Went to restart and is now stuck on the kit kat start page. Tried to reset by holding the power button then plugging the cable into the back but nothing. I have not done any updates to the device because I haven't had to. Please help.

Just making sure I got this right. You...

a) held the power button firmly.

b) plugged in power supply

c) kept the power button held in until the recovery screen (would have normally) come on?

Yes, that is exactly what i did. I held the power button for several minutes waiting for LED to flash or recovery screen to appear but nothing happened. When putting in the power (while holding the power button), the screen would sometimes go to the kit Kat screen and sometimes nothing would appear.

I thought you should be holding in the reset button on the back of the unit, not the power button on the front.

380's don't have a reset button on them. There's a weird little hole that does nothing on the bottom, that's it.

So dead box? Anything i can do? What kind of warranty is on these units. Still have have box and receipt. Very disappointing.

Out of Mississauga. Call the 1-855 number. They say they have a 1year warranty.
