Quick Question

Recommended Posts

I have got a MyGica ATV528 that i want to upgrade. I know i have to install the firmware updates in order. My question is, on this page: viewtopic.php?f=113&t=1710

It says: **PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE THE PREVIOUS FIRMWARE INSTALLED BEFORE YOU CAN UPGRADE TO THIS NEW FILE**

**THE PREVIOUS NEW FIRMWARE CAN BE FOUND HERE http://mygica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=1611

But when you browse to that link there is nothing there. Do i need that file or can up upgrade from what came on the box?

Thanks,

Kyle.

That begs the question "What came with the box?"

Look in Settings, then in Advanced or More (depending on software) and "About Device".

You should see a build number with 20150321 (2015 Mar 21) or something like that.

Well it has kitkat 4.4.2 on it.

uboot is: 10d3da4(20150701.170752)

Kernel:

3.10.33

Build:

V002M801_20150721

It has XBMC 13.1

You should have no issues updating Kodi. Uninstall Version 13 in app settings , then install Isengard.

So you haven't upgraded it yourself, you have a July 21 build in it, and you have Gotham 13.1? As wookie said, you can uninstall xbmc 13.1 (just to make room since it really doesn't matter) and install whatever you want.

You can upgrade to any of the BETA builds from the 03/21 Firmware versions.

Same goes if you want to jump from Beta to Beta.
