What is the problem you are having?

I have the following problems with my ATV586 + ATSC

can not switch the HDMI to passthrough - just get garbled noise ( fine on PMC)

Other sound related - the TV feed sound starts to gradually get out of sync with a several second delay

The out of sync issue we have found is related to your Antennas signal not being strong enough.

PCM is meant to be decoded by the box.

Passthrough is if you are wanting a stereo receiver to decode it.
