ATV 1800 / 582 firmware

Recommended Posts

Hi Team,

Thanks for the support you render.

Quick question; it seems that the 1800 and 582's firmware is the same?

Can you confirm?

Yes this is correct, however this may change, due to hardware changes being done to the 1800

It could only be the dual wifi if you decide to go that route and then if the S802 H chips are released. I believe everyone is looking forward to the official launch. What will happen to the folks who bought their 1800 devices with 1 GB of ram, will firmware development stop for them or will they just continue to use the 582's firmware. There are a few vendors selling these already.

The only 1800 units we will be bringing in, into North America will have 16GB flash memory and 2GB ram, and also include the S802-B chipset which supports Dolby, we cannot use the S802-H chipsets, since we do not have a DTS license. All of these recent changes has been the reason for the delay on the launch of this product, and also us making sure it comes with the best specs available to us.

Firmware development for any new Quad core model with the AMlogic chipset, will always be supported by Mygica.

Yes there is stock now to our dealers in Canada.

Check with Vancouver FTA, Worldwide Satellites, or you can find it on Amazon.ca or Newegg.ca

How will the OTA update distinguish between the ATV582 and ATV1800?

It seems the firmware is the same currently, however when the ATV1800 gets its firmware will it be a "faster" unit as its the "elite" model of the 2.

Could you elaborate on this if you have the detail?

Thanks.
