582, frozen

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was away since Nov. 23.

I had unplugged my unit.

Came back Dec 4th. plug the unit in.

it boots, shows my main screen ( Apps, Kodi, Netflix, etc icons) but the unit does not respond to the remote.

waited a few mins, nothing changed on the screen.

could not even turn the unit off via the remote, so I unplugged it for a minute.

Plugged it back in, it went thru the boot up, went to my main screen and again remote does not work.

I have both the wifi setup and hardwired ethernet to my router.

I unplugged and restarted several times.

finally about the 5th time. it said it was downloading the update. ( I guess I had it set to auto update)

the Android guy appears on my screen and after a while it appears to be frozen.

I leave it for a few hours while I went out.

Android screen still is frozen. Remote is not working, so i unplugged it again ( waiting a minute before plugging it back in)

it boots again to my main screen and remote is still not working.

BTW I do not have a SDcard installed or have my external harddrive hooked up.

I Tried hold the reset button on the bottom for over 10 seconds. ( the unit does not change, just the blue light is on)

I unplugged and rebooted again a few times.

Unit is still on the main screen and frozen.

How do I recover it now?

I have been uploading all my zip files of factory restore cards onto my onedrive. I keep them updated for the most part and I will keep putting them up until they are all there.
