ATV-1800 Buffer size

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can the buffer-size be increased in XBMC on my ATV-1800?

If I play mkv files 1080p it frequently has to buffer the movie.

Kind regards,

The Warior (with 1 R)

Are you playing this from your own local media network?

Or are you streaming this from an online source.

TCP/IP Buffer needs to be increased by Geniatech devs here. 1080P requires a bit more on wired / wireless network.

It should also speed up Wifi and Ethernet hard wired LAN :-)

Hi, is there any news on this firmware update to address the xbmc buffer issue?

Thanks!

Looking to be released within the next 10 days.

Sorry China is on an Autumn holiday till Sept 11th, so I am unable to get anything done with them right now.

Thanks Justin, will this be an automated upgrade or will we have to download it and install manually?

Will be pushed out as an auto update, as will all new updates in the future, we find this is the easiest way now to allow ppl to update there boxes.

But i have it setup now where I approve the firmware before it is sent down for OTA. And I will also be posting an announcement of an OTA update being sent, just to pre warn people of all the fixes and changes we make before they see the update being offered on there TV screens.

Also if you don't want to automatically take the update or accidentally take it possibly, I always suggest to turn off the setting for Automatic update, so you can just check for it manually and decide whether or not you want to take the update after reading what I post in the forum for list of changes and fixes.
