Hi,

I am trying to help a friend with his MyGica atv1200.

He advised me that there was no WiFi. I checked online and seems this model does have WiFi problems.

I connected an Ethernet cable and get it to work. Unfortunately , there is no sound. I tried a different HDMI cable, but still no sound.

Am I correct in noting that an external Wireless Adapter will not work on this model ?

If you go into the app, MBOX Settings and then Advanced

Check to make sure the digital audio output is set to PCM or HDMI and not SPDIF

That might be the issue you are having with sound.

An external wifi adapter will not work if it's USB only

Vonets has Wifi Bridge adapters that work well though, they just use USB for power and then plug in through the Ethernet port.

Sorry you are having issues with your 1200s wifi, it sounds like the Wifi has just stopped working.

We can fix this through our Repair department if you like, would cost about $30 which includes return shipping.
