1800E won't start, flashing STATUS LED.

Hi,

I bought an 1800E about 3 weeks ago and noticed the STATUS LED was flashing very fast and nothing was on the TV screen. When I push the power button it goes dark and stays that way. If I pull the power out of the wall for a few minutes and plug it in, the same thing happens. This unit only a few weeks old with less than 15 hours of use. :(

Any tips would be appreciated!

You can try this

Download the 1800 Files from the link below

You will need an SD Card to do this

I have been uploading all my zip files of factory restore cards onto our website.

I keep them updated to the latest version available

If you have any problem downloading them, or you need different files, let me know.

You can also give out this link to customers who need these same files.

Hi, I tried recovery and an update before (and again just now) but the device still won't power up.

It simply has that fast flashing green light.

May I know where you purchased it from a few weeks ago?

Computer Avenue here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

See what there exchange policy is

Most stores are 14-30 days.

If not, then we have a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase.

Thanks, I took it back and they exchanged it no problem! :)

I didn't try this initially as you have a big "STOP PLEASE TO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO THE STORE" paper as the first think one sees upon opening the box.
