Need help with Upgrading 582 my Gica..

I am not able to update my gica 582. As shown by video of xctech . I put files in SD card ... press update .. after doing local update ....it still shows the old firmware .... I used Kingston SD card . 2gb

Can you please let me know which version of firmware you are currently using?

If you go into the settings menu and go to Other.

Give me the Build Number, it should be dated.

Its original firmware ...4.4.2 . I tried the same way as xctech told in video..

Firmware has always come with 4.4.2 for the 582

I asked for the build #

Based on that build number

You will need to upgrade your box using these files which can be found here

viewtopic.php?f=74&t=1591

After that you can then upgrade your firmware with the latest files

viewtopic.php?f=74&t=1710

Once you get to the 07/23 firmware, your box will now take "OVER THE AIR UPDATES" directly to the box, if connected to the internet

Our latest firmware on "Over the Air" is dated 08/01, it should be available to download right now, once you have successfully loaded both files I gave you links for above.
