how to hard reset ATV520?

When i open my ATV520 all i see now is a black screen. The return/back arrow on the lower left corner still displays, but whatever I've tried i cannot get to the home screen. How can i perform a hard reset on the box?

You need to use the reset button on the bottom of your unit

Use a small needle, or tooth pick to access this. And hold down the reset button, then plug in the power to your unit. Keep holding down the reset button till you reach the recovery screen.

From here you can factory reset your box, and then reboot it for everything to reinstall
