Xbmc Freezes when trying to enable Live Tv

using xbmc 13.2 and when i go into live tv to enable it my xbmc freezes. any idea why guys ?

You must configure the PVR add-on first. Once that's done, it should be fine. (Had the same issue.)

What TV are you PVRing with xbmc? From an antenna or from the internet?

There are lots of videos on Youtube detailing how to setup the Live TV PVR add on, along with a M3U playlist that you can use along with it.

As "BusterB" mentioned, you must configure the PVR add on first, in order for Live TV to work.

Would be Live streams off the internet, as antennas do not work currently through XBMC on Android.

Oh, I'm glad you told me that. That's why I inquired about the USB tuner in another thread earlier this week. If that is the case what are you using the USB TV tuner for then?

its okay for some reason the pvr doesnt even show up anywhere for me to configure

Hi I followed what you mentioned here.

On my atv1800 latest firmware and xbmc13.2 i still cannot get live tv to work.

13:29:44 T:1936318872 ERROR: ADDON: Could not locate libXBMC_IPTV_Simple.so

This is what i get in the log file and an error remaining disabled.

If you are trying this on our 13.2 Mygica Edition of XBMC then it will not work right now. This is something that will be fixed on our next update.

If you want to get to this work, you must use the XBMC.org Official XBMC 13.2 Android ARM Edition. The Live TV add on will work with this version.

That is what I tried afterwards and seems to have done the trick.

I am a new seller in Malta and although sold some ATV1200 I'm new to the issues with ATV582 and ATV1800.

when will that update be ready?

I can release it myself if I want.

It looks like we cant release this as a OTA update, since there is no way around resetting the entire box on this update. Since it is a completely new Kernal update, this will wipe out everything and factory reset your box.

If people are ok with this, I can just post it up for download for everyone to manually load.

And also pushing them to fix the Live TV add on part within XBMC.

Yes please, I'll take the update. Only thing I really need to backup is xbmc data and I have that covered with xbmc backup plugin.
