markj67 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2014 Hi, I am embarrassed to admit, but I mistakenly built an app that is rebooting the device. What makes this serious is that the app is set to boot automatically at device start (Broadcast Receiver). So, my device starts, and my app starts immediately and reboots my device and the process continues. I have noticed what looks like a reset button on the back of the unit. Is there a way to use this button or the front button to boot to an SD card? Any other way to break the loop on my device? Thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
markj67 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2014 I found the answer myself. Perhaps I should have spent longer searching before posting, but never-the-less.... Instructions here for ATV 1200, that also support access to the recovery menu on the 1800e: I selected the "wipe data / factory reset" option and was able to get factory defaults back onto the 1800e device and to remove the installed app that was causing my reboot issue.
