Irish FX4 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2014 So i updated to Kodi and then uninstalled XBMC. Now i have the main shortcut on the home screen and when i click on it it says application has been removed. To get Kodi to run i have to click on the Kodi icon app. How can i change the main XBMC shortcut to open the new KODI app. Thanks.

Justin 206 Report post Posted December 26, 2014 They must have changed the app signature for Kodi since they changed names. Will have to see if this can be fixed.

Irish FX4 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2015 Hey Justin, Any updates on a fix for this?
Justin 206 Report post Posted January 19, 2015 We will release a patch file for the xbmc remote button to switch to Kodi. That way anyone wanting to use it, can do so easily. It is something that has to be changed by a small firmware patch.

werner_h 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 Can I suggest that you change it so that the user can chose any app to launch using the xbmc button. For example I make use of PLEX rather than XBMC. Would make the device a little more flexible.

I can see if this is possible, but I doubt it since the remote configuration file has to be modified by firmware.
