  1. Looks like I now have the standby black screen issue on my 1800e.... Was working fine before, but now it is not. Hopefully will be a fix for this soon..... MyGica fix this and all should be good. FBN
  2. Used a USB for patch and update to 5.1. FBN
  3. As I recall the root patch froze during the installation. I pulled the power connector on the back and inserted it again after about 10 seconds or so. The unit powered up to the home screen, I checked to see if the unit was rooted and it was. FBN
  4. I finally got around to updating my 1800e, wasn't in a rush as 4.4 was working fine for me but wanted to be able to use Krypton 17 in the future. Anyway, the upgrade wasn't smooth as it stopped half way through and I had to pull the power and reboot the box. The box came back up again and finished the upgrade without any further issues. I also had the same issue when applying the Root patch. So far so good, no problems at all with 5.1 and not getting the black screen issue when waking it up from standby. Good job MyGica! FBN
  5. Ditto. Will this work on the 1800e? The original post is not clear on this, title of post includes 1800e, but no further mention of it. Even the file name only refers to the 1900. FBN
  6. Justin You should setup a topic in the forums for support like this. Where only members help members and no support from the mods. Truly this will help your product. Someone buys a box, don't know what to do and then find no help here and they return it for a refund. Not good for business. FBN I will have to look into this. The issue is the information that is found would be found on our site, regardless of this coming from Mods or not. Another thought.... Just setup a sticky in the forums for new users of Kodi. There you can say that third party apps are not supported here in the forums and that all information about installing Kodi add-ons can be found by searching "Kodi Addons" on the internet, where you will find informative step-by-step instructions and YouTube videos. You may want to give a few example searches, like "Kodi Fusion", "Kodi Addon Installer", "Kodi Genesis", etc. This may help eliminate users coming to the forums posting help topics for Kodi. You could even have your standard statement about being banned for discussing any third party apps here in the forum. FBN

  8. Fusion is the right thing to do. Then install addon installer. Google it too. Genisis is a good addon to use. Google and you will find! FBN
  9. I'm really looking forward to trying out the new ROM version! Hopefully this will correct some issues with the 1800e which still seem to persist. Just to let everyone know the replacement 1800e I got from Justin has only a slight Netflix audio sync issue which has the audio lagging the video. At least it makes Netflix watchable again... the other issue with Netflix I have seen is the video is jerky at times, this is most apparent when the camera is panning a scene, but shows up other times. I've read that this type of behaviour can be attributed to dropped video frames? As for the account settings in Netflix I've tried different settings with the new box and without any apparent benefit to the issues I've just highlighted. Unfortunately I did not think of trying this with the original box which had a very bad audio sync issue, so hopefully Justin can try changing these settings on his Netflix account to reproduce the problems I was having with it. It makes no sense to me why the same box can behave so differently with another Netflix user account... Which only has settings for playback quality and test participation. It is not my network connection because my old ATV1200 plays Netflix perfectly fine and this was using the very same account settings in Netflix. I even bypassed my network totally and ran Netflix on the 1800e using my phone as a hotspot on the LTE network, but same sync issues. FBN
  10. Just some more info about the Music app launching when hitting some buttons on the remote. It will launch in the background even if there isn't a USB plugged in with an mp3 file. This will happen even from the home screen, since it is in the background the only way to see it is in running apps in Android settings > apps > running. In Crackle, if a video is playing and you hit the pause/play button, then the video will pause, but if you hit pause/play again the Music app will come up on the screen. The only way to get rid of it is to hit the back button. I'm hoping you can reproduce these issues and more importantly the NetFlix audio sync one and get is resolved. FBN
  11. Justin, Regarding the remote control with Netflix, I tested it with my ATV1200 and wireless keyboard which has the play, pause, stop, etc functions on it and you are right it will not control the play. The mouse will bring up the control functions in NetFlix if you left click on the screen while the video is running. However, In the ATV1800e, the mouse click will not bring up the control function screen in NetFlix when the video is playing. The only way I can get it to come up is to hit the volume button on the remote or my wireless keyboard and then quickly move the mouse to pause the video. So it appears that for some reason the mouse click on the screen to simulate a touch screen tap is not working. Also, you may want to look into the control buttons on the remote or wireless keyboard starting the native Music app when NetFlix is running and there is a MP3 file on a connected USB drive. This is very weird behaviour. I can confirm that the Music app does launch as it shows up in the apps running in Android settings. Thanks for looking into this for us. If I can provide any more detail, please let me know. FBN
  12. If you can do that, it would be good to know. Keep us in the loop. FBN
  13. Just an update to my latest beta firmware post from earlier today. It appears that the issue with the remote not working properly with NetFlix also shows up when using Crackle. It's a bit different as at first the buttons on the remote does control the video, but only after the first pause, then if you hit play it launches the native music player and the audio from the MP3 file is heard, but Crackle doesn't resume the playing of the video. I should mention that this behaviour for both NetFlix and Crackle also happens when I use the same buttons on my wireless keyboard. Oh... Crackle doesn't have the audio sync issue. I hope the developers can figure this out and fix it... and more importantly fix NetFlix. I'm spending far too much time on this and would like to enjoy my 1800e without worries. FBN
  14. I installed it today and it is not fixed. I posted my findings in another thread. viewtopic.php?f=118&t=3140 FBN
  15. Have you tired this? Home Screen -> Settings -> Display -> Advanced -> Digital Audio Output (at the bottom of the screen) Select HDMI "Passthrough" I have "Digital audio auto-detection" "OFF" FBN
  16. Just installed the latest Beta 20150703 on my ATV1800e. Sad to say the Netflix Sync issue is still there. As reported before, the audio is trailing video significantly and can be seen in video previously posted. Also as reported before, the MyGica remote doesn't control much in NetFlix, only the volume buttons and the back button work, the stop, play/pause, backward and forward do nothing in NetFlix. But they still control an MP3 file that it some how finds on my USB stick when NetFlix is playing, when the MP3 file is playing, both the audio from it and NetFlix are heard at the same time. This may have something to do with the Sync issue? Trying to process two audio streams at the same time causing a delay? Note, the NetFlix audio sync issue is there with or without the MP3 audio playing. After the firmware flash, I lost an icon on the main page, lower right between NetFlix and MyGica Store, I don't remember what it was, so can't add it myself. If someone knows, please get back to me. Summary 1. Play Store issue is fixed, more changes have been made. - Working, but it worked fine before on last Beta and 20150321. 2. Fixed HDMI Blacking out. - No issue here, but was not an issue on last Beta or 2015032. However 20150321 would not work on my Dell monitor, but works with past Beta and current one. 3. Please report if Netflix Audio Sync still exists. - Still not working! See above for more details. 4. Updated to New AMLogic Kernel - Nothing to report here. 5. Missing an icon on the home screen. See above for more details. 6. MyGica Store working, as I had trouble with it before. 7. Speed tests: Ethernet = 91M down & 11M Up - Very Good same as I get on my PC. Wifi 2.4GHz = 2M down & 10M Up - Very poor, was fine with 20150321 firmware. Signal full bars (-37 dBm) and only 3 ft from router. Wifi 5.0GHz = 24M down & 10M Up - OK, but was better with 20150321 firmware. Signal 3 bars (-61 dBm) and about 30 ft from router. 8. YouTube is working fine, but never had trouble with it before. I should add that I did a factory reset after the Beta firmware was installed. FBN
  17. Well after playing around with my 1800e yesterday trying to get the Netflix sync issue resolved on my own... I know this is a waste of time, but I had to do something. Anyways, I messed with so many things, I thought it would be best to reset the box back to factory default (latest Beta). Well now the MyGica Store is working! I'm sooooo happy because I couldn't sleep at night worrying about it! LOL No such luck with Netflix... Does anybody else notice that the remote doesn't do much in NetFlix with the latest Beta??? It seems to be really messed up as I explained in a previous post yesterday. FBN
  18. Something I stumbled across just now. I had mentioned previously that when playing anything in Netflix the stop, pause/play etc buttons on the remote or on a keyboard don't work, yet they work just fine in other apps. Well I was playing Netflix and hit the pause/play button on the remote and I started to hear another audio source playing at the same time as the Netflix video. It turned out to be an mp3 file on my usb drive. It appears that the remote somehow was controlling the playing of this file and not the Netflix video. When I shut down Netflix the remote still continued to control the mp3 file. I rebooted the box and tried to control the mp3 file with the remote, but it didn't work. But as soon as I open Netflix and play a video there, the remote started controlling the playing of the mp3 file on the use drive. Very weird, maybe this is somehow related to the audio sync issue with Netflix??? Hope someone from support is out there to read this post. FBN
  19. Thanks I will see if I can find the Netflix apk. FBN wjw, Thanks for the link! I tried the 3.7.1 apk and it has the same issues with audio sync. Looks like the owners of these boxes with this issue will have to wait for the developers to fix it. I don't even think they downloaded my video which shows the issue! At least they haven't bothered to acknowledge it. FBN
  20. Justin, It's been over a week now and just wondering if there is something coming soon? MyGica must be experiencing a high product return rate on their quad core units now... My experience has been terrible and the only reason I stuck it out was because I know how the product should work being a long time ATV1200 owner. Someone new would have noticed troubles immediately after connecting it up for the first time... I know I did and still do. This would have been enough for the average user to put it back into the box and take it back for a full refund. Really is this how to run a business and lose market share? Let me share one experience I had with MyGica support when I first got my ATV1200 a couple of years ago... I could not get it to work with any VPN app, I wrote an email directly to MyGica in China about the problem. I received a reply quickly requesting more information about the issue, which I provided. Within a few days they sent me a patch file to upload into my unit to see if it resolved the problem and which it did resolve it completely! When a new firmware updated to my unit afterwards, I was afraid that it would overwrite the patch, but it didn't as the new FW must have included the patch. I was very impressed with the service then and when I found out about this forum, I thought things would only get better.... boy was I wrong. What happened to MyGica support? FBN
  21. MyGica Support, Hopefully you have had time to review the uploaded mp4 file which clearly shows the audio out of sync issue with Netflix. When can we expect a patch or new FW version? FBN
  22. tomislav177, Thanks for viewing the video.... I hope it will help MyGica developers resolve the Netflix sync problem. I'm still using the MyGica version Kodi and it is working just fine for me. Funny how some boxes are affected differently than others... I don't have some of the other issue being reported by others, yet this Netflix thing is really annoying. My main uses for my 1800e are for Kodi and Netflix, I would have liked to use it for other streaming apps like CraveTV, Shomi, HBO Go, etc. However NONE of them work on this box or my old 1200 either. Yet they all work great on my old Samsung Galaxy S3 dual core phone. Makes you wonder why they don't work on this new quad core box? What makes one version of Android different than another? I'm thinking that these Android boxes are too unpredictable, I don't mind setting them up and changing things to get them working, but it is very frustrating when you hit a brick wall and all you can do is wait for the developers to fix it. Maybe the developers are trying to do too much with them and causing them to act up? Maybe a stock version of Android without the bells and whistles would be better? If it allows the apps to work without problem, then I'm all for it!!! FBN
  23. No not yet.... I may have time tomorrow to try it out. FBN I was not able to get Netflix to work with the native browser or Chrome, in both cases when trying to play something, I was told to use the Netflix app. I don't have anything that accepts composite video, but did try composite audio (RCA) with HDMI and it was out of sync. What have you tried chachi? Maybe you could share your testing results? FBN
