every time I go to watch a movie for the first time today, i'm told there is no stream available. if I re-boot by unplugging power for a few seconds, then it works fine. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Sounds like the streams that the add on you are using are offering are not working anymore

This is usually the case when yo get No stream Available as a message.

Make sure you are closing down your add-on/app properly too. That way the stream links refresh when it starts up again.

I assume you're talking about Kodi.

Another option is, using the three-bar menu button, "refresh sources".
