asft 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2014 can we load kodi rc3 to this box with out problems or should i wait till you come out with it
lifeisfun 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2014 Careful, back up your current XBMC configuration before installing KODI It will work but it will screw up your current set up and you can't restore/port your 13.2 settings to KODI properly, you will have to configure it again. If you decide remove KODI you can restore the backup you made to the preinstalled version without problem.

hockeyman2000 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 Anyway of adding Kodi icon to Launcher? Or is there a way to edit the current launcher to have Kodi on it instead of XBMC? Thanks
lifeisfun 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 In android launcher just press hold and drag the Kodi icon from app drawer to desktop To remove click hold and drag to the Trash on top of the screen.
Justin 206 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 If you are using the Mygica 4K launcher, its as easy as holding down the "ok" button on an icon you want to change. It will take you to your list of apps, from there you can select the icon you want to change.
hockeyman2000 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 Hi what I'm wondering is if I can get Kodi icon where this XBMC icon is. Yes holding down ok allows me to add to my favorite but not the bar. Thanks guys for your feedback already
lifeisfun 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 You posted in the wrong device section, you have dual core device not quad core.
Justin 206 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 You cannot change those 5 icons, they are there permanately. And only our 4K launcher allows you to change around the icons.
febi85 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 Once I upgrade to Kodi, the XBMC button on my remote is not working for ATV582. How to fix it?
wjw 9 Report post Posted January 7, 2015 Just taking a stab in the dark but I'd assume that you uninstalled the MyGica XBMC 13.1 and installed Kodi. Your XBMC icon probably no longer works but your new Kodi icon works, right?
kreeturez 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2015 Once I upgrade to Kodi, the XBMC button on my remote is not working for ATV582. How to fix it? The button unfortunately seems tied to XBMC only: so it no longer works after the Kodi name-change... (As an aside, Kodi runs pretty well on this box) Perhaps in future firmware this button could be mapped to any app using the settings? This way, a plan could be made to run any variant of XBMC/Kodi (including, for instance, SPMC) using it...
webmaniac 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 next firmware update for the 582 both xbmc and kodi will be on the box so can't see that happening
Justin 206 Report post Posted January 12, 2015 Once I upgrade to Kodi, the XBMC button on my remote is not working for ATV582. How to fix it? Yes they changed the app signature, I will have to see if we can fix this in an update.
