Hoping to push out an OTA update this week.

Should address the internet speeds.

Thanks

Justin

Thanks Justin! I hope that 'should' turns into a 'will'. ;)

Any news on this?

Thanks,

Marc

China is on holidays till the 7th.

I will be in China from 10th-18th, and this is one of the reasons why I am there.

So will be pushing to have this solved asap.

Don't get your hope too high, sadly this is the way Mygica operates, bs bs bs ....

If you read posts from the past it will give you idea how this Chinese business operates.

Hi Justin,

channel 6.

I just tried moving the mygica to a different tv, within 4 ft of the router. Still get 3Mbps download over wifi.

I tried ethernet while it was there, tests at 15Mbps, but I have 30Mbps service, so still seems restricted.

Unfortunately, wired connection isn't an option where I want to put the mygica.

Not that it matters, but upload speed is 10Mbs on both.

On the same TV, XBMC on Raspberry pi with a usb wifi adapter works fine, chromecast works fine too.

Ironically the mygica with the most obvious antenna has the worst performance.

I'm hoping there's a patch or update...

thanks,

Kevin

did you try this update? http://mygicasupport.com/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=3139

I have the oldest version of the OS on my ATV582, i have no issue with my WIFI, i get 100Mb download and 21Mb upload since that is what my ISP allows me, maybe router or some sort of interference

Hi Justin

Any news on the OTA update with WiFi problems sorted out? I bought this unit specifically for the bedroom where ethernet is not a option. Some sort of update with a time line from you or anyone at MyGica would be appreciated.

OTA update is scheduled to start on Nov 23rd, as we added Wifi Disconnect fix to this version, so it has delayed the OTA about 4-5 days.

The Wifi did improve from the last update.

However more logs were sent yesterday to do more work to it based on the logs.

We did fix the Wifi disconnect issue.

The main issue is that the Wifi Driver and Kernel that was written for the Broadcom AP Wifi+Bluetooth chip in the box, was badly coded by AMlogic.

So they are working to fix this

I know this has been awhile, but I push every week with these guys.
